About Us Karen T. Cascini and Deborah Cascini-Beardsley comprise the creative team of Cascini Designs, principally involved in the production of authentic Neapolitan and Cartapesta art figures, backgrounds and accessories. The company evolved as a result of the Cascinis long-standing passion for these old Italian art forms. Following several years of research/inquiry involving numerous trips to Italy in search of top quality artists, devoted to the craft, they were able to launch Cascini designs and Angeli Art Imports. Karen and Deborah, coming from a background of University teaching/CPA practice, and art studio ownership/instruction, respectively, work closely with artists designing unique sculptures and backdrops. Made entirely in Italy, their original figures involve meticulous detail and exquisite workmanship, often requiring several weeks to complete.
